Astronomy Equipment - July 2015

After many months debating an upgrade of my webcam I decided to take the plunge. For a while I was considering one of the Point Grey imaging cameras but then started to see what the ZWO ASI-174 MC was producing and decided to go with it. Placed my order in late April but then had to wait until mid June before it finally arrived. I put together a video of my unboxing which I've linked below ...

The night sky is offering lots of targets including Venus and Jupiter approaching a nice conjunction in early July and Saturn appearing high in the sky. Here are some pictures of the ZWO ASI-174 MC setup on the 10" Meade LX200GPS. I'll be posting more pictures of some of the results in the weeks to come.
